Schedule of EventsFriday, February 15: Theatrical. Revel in the Dramatic Talents of the MinneHaHa Players as they help 'Americans Discover the Bard . . . . with Amusing Results." First on the program is the comedy "The Stage-Struck Yankee" from the 1840s, followed by "The Ticket-Taker" from the mid-1850s. The theatrical will be staged at the historic Triune Masonic Lodge, 1898 Iglehart Avenue, St., Paul. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The performance begins at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5.00 for LHS members and $7.00 for guests. Civil War era attire is respectfully REQUIRED. An elegant reception will be held following this show. A public presentation of the theatrical will be held on Friday, February 22 with modern clothing acceptable.Saturday, February 16: Dance workshops will be conducted at the Triune Masonic Lodge from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Beginning and intermediate instruction in the waltz, polka, redowa, schottische, reels and quadrilles will be offered. Lunch will be served. Admission is $5.00 for LHS members and $7.00 for guests. Comfortable modern clothing with smooth soled shoes for dancing is preferred. The Sweethearts Ball and Dinner will be held in the evening. Doors to the beautifully restored candlelit ballroom will open at 7:30pm. The Grand March will begin promptly at 8:00 pm. For Ladies wishing to dress at the Lodge, the dressing rooms will be open at 6:30pm. Live music will enhance what is sure to be a memorable evening. An elegant late-night supper will be served and dancing will continue into the wee hours of the morning. Children 14 years and older are welcome to participate. Admission is $45.00 for LHS members and $55.00 for guests. Formal Evening attire of the Civil War era is respectfully required for this event. Sunday, February 17: Winter Sports of ice skating and coasting are planned at a beautiful Victorian park in northeast Minneapolis. We will meet at a home in Columbia Heights. If the weather is not being cooperative, we will retire to the home for parlor games. Refreshments will be served. Relax after the exertions of the ball. This free event is held from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm for attendees of the Ball. Bring your period or modern skates and toboggans. Modern skates and clothing are acceptable; period dress is preferred.
