Schedule of Events

Friday, February 13: Theatrical. Revel in the Dramatic Talents of the MinneHaHa Players as they Perform a Series of Romantic Tableau Vivants, followed by a Deliciously Saucy Comedy in Thirteen Acts, "This Picture and That" , Written by Mr. Brander Matthews. This Theatrical Event shall enjoy the Melodious Accompaniment of Professor Longley's "Lively Euphonians", a collection of superior musicians, brought in especially from the East for this Engagement.

The Longfellow Playhouse will once again be re-created at the historic Triune Masonic Lodge, 1898 Iglehart Avenue, St., Paul. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Admission is $5.00 per person. The performance begins at 8:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served during Intermission. Modern clothing is acceptable; period clothing is encouraged.

Saturday, February 14: Dance workshops will be conducted at the Triune Masonic Lodge from 8:45 am to 2:00 pm. Beginning and intermediate instruction in the waltz, polka, redowa, reels and quadrilles will be offered. Comfortable modern clothing is preferred. Lunch will be served.

The Valentine's Day Ball will be held in the evening. Doors to the beautifully restored candlelit ballroom will open at 7:30pm. The Grand March will begin promptly at 8:00 pm. For Ladies wishing to dress at the Lodge, the dressing rooms will be open at 6:00pm. Live music will enhance what is sure to be a memorable evening. An elegant late-night supper will be served and dancing will continue into the wee hours of the morning. Children 14 years and older are welcome to participate. Period attire is respectfully required for this event.

Sunday, February 15: Ice skating and coasting are planned at a beautiful Victorian park in northeast Minneapolis. We will gather at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Pinkerton at noon and from there make the short journey to the park. Bring your period or modern skates and toboggans. Lunch and other refreshments will be served. Modern clothing is acceptable; period clothing preferred. This event is held from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.

Maps and additional details will be mailed with tickets. Please see ticket information below. Space is limited; pre-registration is required! There will be no tickets sold at the door for the Ball on Saturday. Tickets for the Theatrical on Friday will be available at the door. The registration deadline is February 1, 2004. After that date, please contact arachnid@lhsmn.org to inquire about ticket availability. A late registration fee of $3.00 per person will be assessed after February 1st.
